I would not recommend this shoe for running in the winter or rainy conditions. I'm not super satisfied with the longevity of the shoe as the treads are already pretty warn. I feel like there is a good balance between cushion and ground feel and I really like the 8mm drop. In addition, the cushion was just ok, it was neither particularly cushioned nor responsive.Ĭomments:I've been wearing the rides for about a month now probably around 250miles. I typically use a totally neutral shoe and this one was not that in my opinion.

The other problem is that Saucony has built some pronation control into the midsole and as I am a slight underpronator it seemed to exaggerate my supination. The grip is greatly improved over a variety of surfaces and the tread pattern offers fantastic flexibility. Some 3D printed overlays offer an element of support and some nice graphics but don't cause any issues with overlays rubbing, and the laces have an amazing stretch to them delivering a really nice adjustable fit when your feet swell on a run a cool touch that Saucony offers and I have no idea why more brands don't copy! There is a sweet spot that some shoes reach between a racer trainer and everyday shoe and the ISO RIDE 2 and Nike Pegasus are two of the best on the market at this pricepoint. It's far from the maximal cushioning segment (such as Hoka's) but that isn't the idea here, this is a brilliantly cushioned fast feeling running shoe without the bulk. It's light and very supple or flexible underfoot but there is plenty of cushioning for a longer run here. PWRFOAM delivers a really plush and comfortable ride and the overall balance of the shoe is excellent. The Ride is the same price of the roomier Echelon 7 within the range, both are cheaper than the Saucony Freedom 3, Freedom ISO 2 and Triumph 17 in their neutral range. Whilst the midsole uses the same cushioning material, it's now using a different overall shape which creates a more stable ride. This updated model sees an improved upper which creates a better fit all around the foot.
